What people say about us

Great food in a lovely friendly village pub

Despite the uncertainty of the current situation with Covid restrictions in place, we met up with some friends at the Brewers. All of the safety measures are in place and although the menu is currently limited, we had no problem deciding which of the dishes we wanted to order. The lady who served us was excellent and the food was superb!

The menu is on a chalk board so no need for disposable paper ones.

We were told that a homemade steak and ale pie is going back on the board and we will definitely be back to try that!

From Tripadvisor

“”Excellent food, my husband had a 20 oz steak which was cooked blue/rare to perfection, my lamb chops were perfect too. The chips are home made and vegetables fresh and tasteful. Friendly staff who are taking the Covid precautions seriously. We felt very safe and I would recommend this place.”

TripAdvisor

“Hooray for Vegan Options!”

As a vegan, it’s always a bit hit & miss if I’m going to find something good to eat in a restaurant, so it was with slight apprehension when my mum-in-law booked The Brewer’s Arms for an anniversary treat for my husband and I.
Happily, my worries were quickly dispelled as the lovely proprietor, Gina, explained that she and her husband, Richard, had recently been to a trade event with the aim of exploring more vegetarian options to list on their menu.
Gina was even able to offer me some dairy free ice cream for dessert.
This is a comfy local with a good range of meals on offer and the friendly atmosphere and willingness to embrace plant-based dishes made this a very good dining experience.

From TripAdvisor

Visited this pub as a group of 4 on a Saturday night, booked in advance as advised by bar staff over the phone. The menu was good, quite a variety, something for everybody. The starters were really nice, well presented and at our table fairly quickly. The mains were outstanding. There aren’t many places that understand my meaning of meat ‘well done’ but this is definitely one of them , the mixed grill was cooked to perfection, 1x large gammon, 1x large steak, 2x proper sausages, black pudding, home made chips and a few greens, it was lovely, reasonable prices, £85 for four starters, 4 mains and 2 drinks each, definitely recommended and well worth a visit
